Delicate Decay: born from wandering

i have always been the type of person to explore and wander trying to discover little hidden places that the world has forgotten about. quiet places where i feel like these places can speak to me and understand me. years ago i was photographing a friend using my 35mm Canon T70 and shooting Kodak Tri-X film; there was a shot that i look of him, on a dilapidated couch in front a half burned/half dying tree and he looked so delicate in the middle of all this decay. from that day forward it was always Delicate Decay.  i feel like the name describes perfectly how i view the world and how i strive to make my personal work reflect that.

i have been spending the better parts of the last 3 months exploring as much as possible, mostly trying to get back to my roots and shooting with film, most recently with instant film. i get so wrapped up with that that i manage to let my digital photos pile up, unseen to the world. i am going to be changing that as i continue to blog more and catch up and share my adventures with you.

Powerhouse is located in Norco, Ca and is an abandoned power factory. i have shared polaroids of this particular shoot with Violet (IG: @violetsparx) and Adriana (IG: @articiahallow). These are just a couple of digital shots.
